Ag Drainage Inc. (ADI) has established a training system at its Golden, Illinois facility thanks to a grant from the Workforce Investment Board of Western Illinois. The funding allows ADI to improve current workers skills, streamline processes and add extra safety training.
Training sessions are being conducted by John Wood Community College and the Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center (IMEC). While this is an ongoing process of improvement, the initial training sessions will occur over the next year.
“We’re pleased to be able to expand our current employees’ skills and reinforce safety practices,” said Cory Colclasure, VP of Operations. “Investing in our people will help us improve efficiency and pursue new opportunities.”
Education sessions vary by department and include everything from truck driver training and DOT safety compliance to lean enterprise management.
ADI is a family owned and operated business that has provided water table management and farm drainage systems for over 30 years. The company, headquarted in Golden, Illinois, has customer service locations throughout the corn belt.
