Logistics Coordinator – Illinois

ADI is searching for a Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for monitoring deliveries, entering orders, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods while also ensuring that all quality assurance checks are completed and maintained. They must be able to communicate effectively since the job will primarily involve liaising with customers, transportation, and other operational departments. They will assist the Director of Operations in the planning and scheduling process, which includes providing accurate customer delivery dates for on time delivery. This role will use Microsoft GP to enter orders, Microsoft Excel and require an intermediate knowledge of computer software, web pages and email.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Assist field crews in the planning and moving of equipment, both oversize/overweight loads and drop deck loads
  • Dispatch ADI CDL drivers
  • Obtain oversize/overweight permits for all equipment moves
  • Coordinate ADI small truck and trailer maintenance and repairs
  • Responsible for ensuring license plates and plate stickers are placed on ADI small equipment
  • Manage the ADI phone lines and assist customers/vendors as needed
  • Work with Transportation Manager to ensure heavy equipment meets DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Conduct “equipment lot checks” and inform shop
  • Order entry into Microsoft Great Plains (GP)
  • Coordinate the delivery of all tubing, pipe, and fittings to all jobsites
  • Follow up with each customer at the completion of each job and confirm 100% satisfaction.
  • Assist in the coordination of all ADI topography equipment including drones and all-terrain vehicles
  • Work as liaison between field engineers, ADI design specialist, and sales team to ensure timely design and finished field map delivery to customers
  • Other duties as assigned

ADI Territory Sales Manager – Indiana

ADI is searching for a Territory Sales Manager who will sell the full product line of ADI products and services. The targeted customer base will be large agricultural farmers throughout the entire sales territory. The territory is Central and Northern Indiana.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Promoting and maintaining a positive working environment
  • Surveying and laying out drainage systems for farm fields prior to installation crew arrival
  • Visiting potential customers to explain the benefits of ag subsurface drainage
  • Communicating via phone, and in person, with customers and inside personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Providing inside personnel complete and detailed order information to ensure timely, accurate deliveries of supplies
  • Building and maintaining a strong customer base
  • Maintaining strong selling margins as set by management
  • Collecting job data and forward to inside personnel for billing upon job completion

Compensation Package
An installation sales position is paid salary plus commission. Commissions are distributed monthly and are calculated on paid invoices and gross margins.

Qualifications

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

ADI is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic who will perform skilled mechanical work, analyzing and diagnosing problems on earth moving heavy equipment; inspecting, replacing and/or repairing defective parts, and performing preventative maintenance.

Job Summary: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for sustaining a preventive maintenance program that optimizes the longevity of the manufacturer’s warranty on all Installation equipment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic maintains and repairs installation equipment including all types of heavy construction equipment with a high standard of excellence. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic must be safety and quality minded.

Responsibilities:

  • Strict adherence to safe work practices
  • Keep tools, equipment and work area clean, organized, and in good working condition
  • Must employ independent judgment and resourcefulness in performing mechanical repair work especially when repairs are made in the field
  • Prompt, timely, effective communication to management regarding problems with installation equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments on such things as fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches; changes filters and oil, and lubricates vehicles and motor driven equipment
  • Service, diagnose, repair and maintain installation plows, trenching machines, backhoes, diesel tractors, hydraulic and cable operated attachments, bulldozers and other earth moving equipment
  • Repair and replace drive shaft, differential, axle, manual and automatic transmission, clutches, transfer cases, power take-off systems, steering axles and final drives
  • Repair or replace fuses, batteries, lights, instruments, warning devices, controls and switches, computer controls, modules, alternators, starters, and defective cables and wiring
  • Replace mufflers, manifolds, catalytic converters, turbochargers, blowers and pipes
  • Repair or replace heater cores, condensers, compressors, hoses and controls, recharges air conditioner systems
  • Repair or replace pumps, hoses, valves, winches and cylinders, compressors, air dryers, brake valves, air tanks and hoses
  • Repair and replace tires and wheels, tie rods, ball joints, gear boxes, shock absorbers, springs, steering linkage, kingpins, power steering, hoses, pumps, walking beam and air suspensions
  • Repair and replace undercarriages, changes tracks, rollers, and frames
  • Repair and replace digging chains, buckets, blades, clamshells, and trenching wheels
  • Repair miscellaneous equipment such as welding machines, forklifts, and saws
  • Maintain service logs and records of maintenance on vehicles and motorized equipment
  • Prepare and complete work orders and other pertinent paperwork

Occasional Duties:

  • Locate parts and equipment needed for repairs or maintenance

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Requirements: H.S. Diploma/GED or higher. 5+ years experience. Must have own toolbox and tools. Must have a CDL.
  • Physical, mental, visual, and auditory ability to operate powered industrial equipment
  • Conscientious attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to work full time schedule with overtime as needed
  • Welding experience preferred

The Tractor Driver must be safety and quality minded, maintain a high standard of excellence with all finished installations. This entry level position requires physical work in a standing position for extended periods of time and exposure to all weather conditions.

  • Ability to operate farm type equipment including tractors and pickup trucks
